  1. Enjoy the Fall colours in Wentworth for their Fall colours event, starting on weekends from September 30-October 15. Explore by foot or take the chair lift up for stunning views of the fall foliage. Wentworth is 25 minutes from Seek.

2. Riverbreeze Cornmaze and Haunted Fear Farm: Spend the day at Riverbreeze with the whole family. Their spectacular corn maze is a Bob Ross theme this year and a blast for all ages. The farm has over 30 attractions for a full day of enjoyment. Riverbreeze is 15 minutes away from Seek.
Pumpkin and corn maze season begins the weekend of Sept 23/24 and remains open weather permitting every Sat, Sun & Thanksgiving Monday 11am-5pm last entry 330pm.

The Fear Farm feature begins every weekend in October and suitable for older ages.

3. Downtown Truro Harvest Scarecrow Festival: spent a fun filled month in Downtown Truro with movie nights, scarecrow festival, pumpkin hunt, treat or treating, and more. Event dates: September 25-October 31, 2023 Most events are free and are family friendly! Learn more here

4. Explore Victoria Park and the Cobequid Trail by bike. Fall is the perfect time to mountain or E-Bike and there are over 80 kms of trails right from Seek. The Cobequid Trail is nice and flat and follows the world’s highest tides, making it a spectacular biking destination. Rent bikes directly from Seek through Hub Cycle.

5. Explore a new trail this Fall, including the new Hike and Seek trail into Victoria Park. This new 1kms trail leaves right from Seek at 825 Young St into the Upper Park. Afterwards, head to a local cafe for a warm drink.
Fall hiking is the best hiking and we are many beautiful trails in Truro and Colchester County.

6. Our other fall favourites include hiking Rogart Mountain in Earltown or Earltown Lake Trails; which are both 25 minutes from Seek. Follow your Earltown hike with breakfast at Sugarmoon Farm, which is open for a delicious pancake breakfast every Saturday and Sunday. Learn more here

7. Take the whole family and pick out your pumpkin at Blake’s Pumpkin Jungle in Debert. There are great photo opportunities and lots of fun for the whole family. Blake’s is only 15 minutes from Seek and you can continue on to Masstown Market for further exploring. Address: 970 Shore Rd, Debert, NS B0M 1G0

8. Everyone things the Valley is the place for Apple Picking, but we have an excellent apple picking spot in Malagash at the Vista Bella Orchard, Cidery, and Apiary. This orchard overlooks and the bay and a is a wonderful destination for the whole family to enjoy. Stop at Tata Brew on your way home to Seek for another cold beverage. 9. Walk of Colours Event at Homestead Lavender is also a fun, free family event held on October 14th (dates change annually). There is a nature walk, vendors, family activities and more. The whole family can enjoy the fun and pets are allowed on leash. This is located only 25 minutes from Seek: 11640 Route 215, Shubenacadie, NS, Canada, Nova Scotia

10. Head for a nice hike to Christie Brook Falls to check out the fall leaves and discover a nice little waterfall. This hike is in Murray Siding and is perfect for the whole family. Other falls we love to explore are: Victoria Park, Economy Falls, Wentworth Falls, and Ward Falls, which are all stunning in the Fall.
