Are you Pet Friendly?

Yes! We do allow one dog/ booking in 4 of cabins. The Hemlock is our pet/dog FREE cabin. We do have a nightly charge of $25/ dog per night. This fee includes a dog bed, dog treat and the extra cleaning fee. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times when outside of the cabin, and the dog should not be left alone in the cabin at any time. It is also the responsibility of the pet owner to clean up after your dog. Dogs are also not allowed on the furniture at any time. Please remember that these are small 320s q cabins and very cozy with a lot of people and dogs.

Are you Kid Friendly?

Yes! We are a family friendly destination! As a family, we encourage you to get outside and explore the Park together and enjoy the nearby playgrounds and outdoor rinks. Truro is a wonderful family destination. We suggest the Maple, Aspen Cabins, and Birch Yurt as family friendly options. Please note that hot tubs are not recommended for children under the age of 16.

Do all cabins and yurts have a hot tub?

Yes! All cabins have eco-hot tubs (Spruce, Aspen, Hemlock, Maple & Balsam). The yurts DO NOT have hot tubs. Our eco-tubs are the first of their kind in the Maritimes, as they use 90% less chemicals than a regular hot tub! Get ready to relax after a day of adventuring! Please note, at the time of booking, hot tub rules are confirmed with your booking.

What is the minimum night stay for the accommodations?

All cabins with a hot tub requires a minimum of a 2 night stay (Spruce, Aspen, Hemlock, Maple & Balsam Fir) on weekends, and we can accommodate single nights on available dates and weekdays in the shoulder seasons. The Yurts only require a single night stay. Minimum 2 night stays come into effect June 20, 2024.

What is the nightly rate of your accommodations?

Our shipping container cabins start at $180/night for a studio, and range up to $365/night. The yurts start at $150/night. All accommodations include small kitchenettes, towels, and bedding. Rates may vary depending on availability and can change without notice.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cabins and yurts are fully paid at the time of booking. 14 days before your arrival, your accommodations are 100% refundable. Between 14-7 days prior to checking in you can receive a 50% refund. Within 7 days days, your accommodations is non-refundable. ALL bookings over 7 days in length require a 30 day cancellation period prior to arrival.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am. Sorry, we cannot accommodate late check-outs. If the cabins are ready ahead of your check-in time, we certainly let you know. You can always email to see if we can get you in a couple hours earlier and we’ll try our very best!

Can we add extra guests?

Our shipping container cabins and yurts are under 320 sq feet, and therefore, we can only accommodate the quantity of people allowed in each cabin. The Maple cabin can accommodate up to 6 people if you are a larger group.

Do you have outdoor fire pits?

Yes, we do and each booking includes one bundle of free firewood. Additional bundles can be bought for $5.00. You must comply with Town/Provincial fire ban regulations, which will be posted in your cabin. There are no exceptions. Each yurt has an indoor fireplace, which can be lit any time. Firewood is included in your yurt stay.

What do I bring for my stay?

-Our shipping container cabins have small kitchenettes with kettles, coffee makers, sink, microwave, dishes and utensils, and mini fridge; however, you are unable to cook in the cabins. Each yurt has a mini fridge, kettle, utensils, dishes, and basic coffee supplies.
-Each cabin and yurt has a private BBQ with propane and tools, so you can cook outside. You may want to bring a camp stove for cooking outside and pots if you wish to prepare more extensive meals.
-You are only 3kms from Downtown Truro with a wide variety of restaurants and cafes and you can order take out right to your cabin or yurt!
-Each accommodation has towels and bedding. Cabins also have basic shower essentials. If you have a hot tub cabin, pack your bathing suit!
-Cozy slippers and a book is always recommended, as our units DO NOT have Tv’s. If you want music, a portable speaker is a great idea!
-It is recommended to pack a variety of clothing for exploring Victoria Park and also the Town of Truro. The Park is great for mountain biking as well!
Skates, snowshoes, and mountain/fat bikes are always recommended in winter.

Are you right on Victoria Park?

Yes, we sure are! From your accommodation, you can access the Park directly from the Hike and Seek Trail. You will see the Victoria Parking lot when you enter Seek and trail access is right there. From the Trail entrance, you are 1km to the skill parking lot in the RailYard, and only 350 meters from over 75 trails. We are located at 825 Young St. You will find trail maps in your cabin and yurt.

Do you have a place to wash and lock bikes?

In the summer, our bike washing station will be open. At this time, we have one central, locked shed that you can individually lock your bike in. This is secure and locked at all times. You are also welcome to lock your bikes on your vehicles. Mountain/Fat bikes are NOT allowed in the cabins.

Do you have TV’s and wifi?

We do not have TV’s in the rentals, as we encourage games and reconnecting with nature; however, the units do have free wifi. Each unit comes with some games, but we encourage packing your favourites!
