Start your visit to Truro by exploring Millbrook, and the incredible Heritage and Cultural Centre. The Centre shares the stories of the Mi’kmaw people, Glooscap legends, traditional ways of living, and more. There is a beautiful gift shop and wonderful exhibits. Across the street is the exceptional art gallery of Alan Sylliboy, a world famous Indigenous Artist.

Head into Downtown Truro, where you will discover vibrant, local shops, cafes, restaurants and more. Visit the incredible Farmer’s Market Saturday mornings (year round), and check out the beautiful library, full of rich history. While in the area, there is also the Colchester Historium, full of local knowledge and history about the area and the historical buildings in Truro.

From there, don’t forget to visit Victoria Park, with over 3000 acres, 75kms of trails and endless exploring. You can rent bikes from Hub Cycle or Bike Monkey to explore the Park, or enjoy on foot, skis or snowshoes in the winter. In the summer, the Victoria Park pool is also open, which is the largest outdoor pool East of Montreal.

Head to the Fundy Discovery Centre for a world class playground, or to watch the World’s Highest Tides. From there you can walk or bike the Cobequid Trail, where you can walk along the Bay and enjoy a stunning sunset.
